Burba & Hayes Form New Entertainment Production Company

Costa Mesa, CA  – Entrepreneurs and businessmen, Jim Burba and Bob Hayes, of the global hotel investment event company, Burba Hotel Network based in Orange County, California, are expanding their communication reach into the world of entertainment under the name Burba Hayes. The duo are currently co-producers on “Space Station 76” in conjunction with Rival Pictures and have recently signed on for development in film and television with first-time author Catherine Tondelli.  The hardworking and enterprising couple is working on additional television projects and books about their work in the hotel industry.

“If you look at the big picture, the hotel industry and film/television share a common bond as both have the unique ability to take consumers away from their everyday lives for a period of time.   We have been approached a number of times about developing TV shows about the hotel and travel industry, so this started the wheels turning,” said Jim Burba.

“We decided to launch Burba Hayes, as it’s a natural extension of our live event production business into the world of broadcast entertainment production,” stated Bob Hayes.

Burba Hayes has signed on to co-produce “Space Station 76”, currently in post-production and set to premier in 2014. The film is a character-driven, domestic dramedy, which takes place in a 1970’s version of the future — where personalities and asteroids collide. Directed by Jack Plotnick, produced by Rival Pictures, and co-produced by Burba Hayes, the film stars Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler, Marisa Coughlan, Matt Bomer, Jerry O’Connell, Kali Rocha, and Kylie Rogers. Screenplay was written by (in alphabetical order) Jennifer Elise Cox, Sam Pancake, Jack Plotnick, Kali Roch and Michael Stoyanov.

In a development deal for film and television with Burba Hayes, first time author Catherine Tondelli’s “Three Coins in the Fountain-Falling in Love through Faith, Family & Frequent Flyer Miles” (Paperback, $14.95, Available from Amazon.com, ISBN-10: 1461128145), takes you through the turbulence of true love while sharing her travails of growing up in Chicago, one of eleven kids.  After finally getting her ex-husband out of her house, Catherine, a 39-year old American career woman living in San Diego, wins a trip to Italy for two, brings her mother along, and winds up tossing three coins into Rome’s Trevi fountain, wishing for love and the guarantee of a return to wonderful, romantic Italy.  Little did she know that those coins would lead to a new job, a new home, and a new life with a handsome Italian who lived with his mother until he was 35 years old.  Readers will be taken on a hilarious rollercoaster ride of cross-cultural romance, while taking in a story of survival, kismet, love, family, and faith.
